What is Student Council?
Student Council is an elected group of students who represent their peers. Student Council gives a voice to students and plans community service projects and school events.

What are the Student Council offices?

Hoff Student Council Parent Permission Slip

Your child is interested in running for a Student Council position. Students in grades 3-5 may run for offices (Secretary and Treasurer) as well as class representative. Students in grade 4 may also run for Vice President (a two year commitment...VP in 4th grade and President in 5th grade). Students in 1st and 2nd grade can run for class representative.

Officer meetings will be held on the first Tuesday of the month from 12:30-1:00 (students are responsible for making up missed work). Student Council meetings for ALL members will be held on the second Tuesday of the month from 3:15-4:15. Parents must provide transportation for their student.

All students interested in running for a position should prepare a speech and 1 campaign poster. Speeches for Officer Positions must be approved by Mrs. Graybill prior to TBA. Campaign promises will not be allowed. Speeches should focus on candidate qualities. Classroom teachers will decide if Class Representative Speeches need to be approved. Students will be given one piece of poster paper to create a poster to be hung in the cafeteria during the week of TBA. Additional posters will not be allowed. 

Officer speeches will be presented to the student body TBA. Elections will immediately follow. Class Representative Speeches will be delivered TBA in the respective classrooms with elections immediately following.
